These machines are available in all types of loads and drive systems (gearless and gearbox)
A. Geabox elevator – It has a traction system and contains helical gear connected with bronze gears in an oil tank, ensuring that the gears would not be worn, insulators are placed under the machine to absorbs shocks, and equipped with electric motor to run the machine.
B. Gearless elevator – It’s a solenoid-based system and does not require a machine room that reduces the aesthetics of building and its appearance, for this purpose gearless elevator was invented.
Due to gearless technology, machine room problem has been eliminated. Because the system has a well-controlled frequency, it moves very smoothly without any jerk or sounds, providing comfort and calmness to the passenger.
Another advantage of the gearless system is energy saving as it saves 40% of the electrical power compared to geared elevators.
Gearless elevators are extensively used in bus stations, airports, multi-story workplaces and malls, as well as buildings that provide health, cultural and educational services.
Architects and building designers prefer elevators that do not have a machine room in terms of convenience and energy saving.
